My goal in social work is to touch people’s hearts in a significant way. I work with people to lessen the effects of negative thinking, alienation, and loneliness. Each act of love performed by someone will balance out an act of hatred somewhere in the world. I would like to help multiply these positive moments.
My journey into social work began with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and three years of theology at Oblate College in Washington, D.C. I went on to earn a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and spent four years working for Child Protective Services in Baltimore City and in Carroll County, Maryland.
I have worked at Children’s Home of York (host homes coordinator), Pathways Program in Lancaster, and Philhaven (19 years on the nursing homes team).
I have specialized in marriage and family work and have conducted 30 weekends for Worldwide Marriage Encounter. I have enjoyed speaking at both the national and international Marriage Encounter conventions.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you turn positive moments into a happier, more positive life.
