How Do I Schedule Therapy for my Ephrata Student?
Scheduling an appointment for your student is easy. We are ready to assist you!
- Complete a referral form. You may reach out to a school counselor for a referral form or contact us directly at info@restorecounselingservice.com. Please include front and back images of your insurance card with your referral form.
- Complete an intake for the student. Upon receipt of your referral form, we will contact you to schedule an initial appointment called an intake. The intake appointment is like an introduction; it is an opportunity for us to get to know the student’s background and the challenges he or she is experiencing. An intake appointment can take place in person or virtually, whichever is more convenient.
- Schedule with a therapist. Once the intake is completed, we will schedule the student with a therapist. You may also reach out directly to a therapist on the Ephrata team to schedule an appointment after your intake is complete.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hi! I’m Danika Beers and I am thrilled to be a part of the team here at Restore! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Science in Counseling from Chatham University. Currently, I am working toward my LPC license, and my passion lies in providing positive, client-focused, empathetic therapeutic services. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients across the lifespan in both private practice and hospital setting. I strive to bring a wealth of experience and a personalized approach to each session to meet your unique needs and goals.
My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that therapy is a collaborative journey of growth and healing. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world, gain insights, and develop strategies to enhance your well-being. I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy exercising, reading, going for long walks with my dogs and fiancé, and spending time with friends and family. You can also find me out discovering new coffee shops. I am so excited to get to know you and grow together as we embark on this journey!

Hi I’m Jim! I am a licensed professional counselor and graduated from Loyola University with a Master of Science in clinical counseling in 2016. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have worked in numerous settings such as the foster care system, traditional outpatient, and school-based therapy. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex PTSD, relationship conflict, trauma, anger issues, and suicidal ideations to name a few.
My interests include complex trauma, parenting, depression, anxiety, diversity issues, grief, and teenagers struggling to survive in this world. I am educated in using an eclectic therapeutic approach to meet clients where they are in their journey.
I see myself as a therapist who walks alongside my clients instead of one who leads. I believe in treating all with unconditional positive regard and providing a place of safety for clients so they can begin their journey towards healing.

I enjoy blends of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and attachment theory to assist you in reaching your goals.
I have practiced therapy in outpatient settings, college campuses, and now in the school system as a School-Based Therapist for the Ephrata Area School District. Hello there! My name is Dena and I am so excited to welcome you. I am a person-centered, humanistic counselor who meets clients where they are in the present moment. I am here to meet you with acceptance, warmth, and empathy to embark on the therapeutic process. Together challenges are identified and explored, and change is created. I am a graduate of Kutztown University and hold a master’s in Professional School Counseling with Licensure. I am working on licensure hours with the supervision of the Restore Counseling team to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Before joining Restore Counseling, I worked as a Professional School Counselor in both the high school and middle school setting for seven years. I worked in both rural and suburban environments in different parts of the country; I supported the academic, personal, and social needs of those I served, conducting individual and small group counseling, as well as large group instruction. I have experience targeting the areas of stress reduction, suicidal thoughts, identity development, family changes, grief and loss, healthy lifestyles, executive functioning, sadness/depression, body and self-image, and feeling and emotional awareness.
My current role as a school-based therapist for Ephrata Area School District has allowed me to expand on my experience and provide trauma-informed care and healing to young clients. When I am not at work I can be found outside, preferably hiking or paddling, traveling, or at the nearest coffee shop.

Hi there! I’m Maggie, and I am a licensed social worker (LSW), currently working towards my clinical license (LCSW). I graduated with my master’s degree in social work from West Chester University in 2023 and am so thrilled to be starting my journey in the mental health field with Restore Counseling.
I started my career as an intake caseworker with Children and Youth Services and have worked in school and outpatient settings. Through these opportunities, I have discovered my passion for working with children and adolescents and guiding them as they discover their feelings, thoughts, and environments. I utilize the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) model, motivational interviewing, a person-centered approach, and active listening. I am passionate about trauma-informed care and am planning to become certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I know that therapy can be an overwhelming adventure, and I strive to make the environment comfortable and welcoming for all. I take a positive, empathetic approach, and let every client know that they are valued, heard, and accepted.
I am a certified dog lover, a great friend, and an athlete! I enjoy being active and practicing self-care with running and doing CrossFit. I strive to practice mindfulness, positivity, and happiness in this busy life, and my goal is to always remind those around me that they are loved. I can’t wait to continue growing with Restore, and I am excited for our journey together!

Hello! I am Katherine (Kat), a licensed social worker. I graduated from Millersville University with both bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. I have worked with a variety of populations which includes children, adolescents, teens, individuals suffering from trauma, as well as individuals managing anger issues. I am most passionate about the work I do with children of all ages. I started my journey in being an advocate with my work in early intervention services as an advocate for children in need of support. I then changed the way I advocated through being a clinician at a private practice. Being more hands on allowed me to not only have a better understanding of child development but continue to learn more about how crucial family systems are.
Within sessions I employ a variety of strategies that best fit the client, including play therapy, art therapy, strengths-based therapy, talk therapy, and much more. I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment where the client feels not only comfortable but safe to speak their truth, feelings, and more.
In my free time, I am in my craft studio creating colorful art pieces. I am always trying to make new things whether that be with paint, clay, wood, and anything else I can get my hands on! I also spend time with friends, family, and my husband. I am excited to meet and join you on your therapeutic journey.
