Some common modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, emotion focused therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.

How do I schedule an appointment?
We offer several ways to schedule an appointment:
- Fill out our online form at the bottom of this page
- Text or call 717-875-1655
- Email directly info@restorecounselingservice.com
For school-based sessions (Ephrata Area School District, Eastern Lancaster County School District, Linden Hall, or Pequea Valley School District):
1. Complete a referral form. You may reach out to a school counselor for a referral form or contact us directly at info@restorecounselingservice.com. Please include front and back images of your insurance card with your referral form, include both legal guardian names on the referral and send any custody orders if applicable with your referral.
2. Complete an intake for the student. Upon receipt of your referral form the front office will contact you to review insurance and related information. The assigned therapist will contact you to schedule an initial appointment called an intake. The intake appointment is like an introduction; it is an opportunity for us to get to know the student’s background and the challenges he or she is experiencing. An intake appointment can take place in person or virtually, whichever is more convenient.
3. Schedule with a therapist. At the intake appointment, the therapist will discuss scheduling with you. The therapist will work within the school schedule and collaborate with teachers to get the student for therapy sessions.
For established clients, our on-line portal is available for managing appointments, joining telehealth sessions, and completing paperwork.
What are your office hours?
Our office hours vary based on therapists’ schedules. Our administrative staff are available from 8:30-4:30 M-F. Therapists’ schedules vary and some therapists see clients into later evening hours.
Where are you located?
We have two office locations: 20 Main Street, Denver PA and 208 West Main Street, Ephrata, PA
Do you offer telehealth/virtual sessions?
Yes, we offer counseling services via telehealth sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
No shows and late cancellations (with less than 24 hours’ notice) are subject to a cancellation fee. This is outlined in our intake document clients sign at intake.
How long are therapy sessions?
Therapy sessions can be brief, intermediate, or full. Brief is 16-37 minutes; intermediate is between 38-52 minutes; and full is 53-60 minutes. The length varies depending on the needs of the client, the capabilities of the client (some children cannot take part in a full session due to focus and attention span), etc.
How often will I need to come to therapy?
Typically, we encourage clients to attend on a weekly basis upon intake because that is the best course to build rapport between a therapist and a client. As you work through the issues that brought you into therapy, you and your therapist will have ongoing discussions about progress on goals and changing needs.
How long does therapy typically last?
On average, therapy typically lasts between 6-12 months. The length of therapy is unique to every individual. This average can increase or decrease based on what the client is working on and their rate of progress.
