Hello! I’m Katarina (Kat), and I’m very excited to have the opportunity to be your therapist.
I graduated from Millersville University with both a Master of Science in clinical psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Previously, I’ve worked with individuals, groups, and families in school and outpatient settings. I have helped children and adolescents (ages 6-18) through difficulties with autism and neurodivergence, learning and intellectual disabilities, oppositional defiant disorder and other behavioral disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other general needs.
Every client is unique, so my approach is flexible and holistic rather than one-size-fits-all. I draw on tools from DBT, CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing, adapting them to fit what will serve you best. I meet clients where they are, helping stabilize the present moment—patching the leaky holes in the boat so it’s stronger and more durable for the next storm. I also believe in involving the people closest to my clients, helping them understand what they may not and building their own skills to navigate emotional dysregulation or miscommunication—supporting not just the client’s success but their own.
In my spare time, I can be found crafting/creating projects and art, briefly seen in thrift stores, and nestled at home watching my lava lamp collection flow. As a certified cat lover, my cat and I talk often; he would say that we have a great therapst-pst-pst relationship.
