As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I have the skills necessary to assess your situation using a system-oriented approach, which considers the various contexts of your life. I have worked with elementary-aged children, adolescents, single adults, engaged couples, married couples, separated/divorced couples, and families. Many have affirmed my compassionate, open-minded, and nonjudgmental demeanor in sessions. It is my desire to be one who listens carefully to appreciate your pain while challenging you to take courageous steps toward change, which can restore hope for a better future.
Previously, I worked as a computer programmer and a mathematics teacher for about seventeen years in each profession. In the Fall of 2025, I celebrated 39 years of marriage. Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of hobbies, among which are sewing/quilting, fiddling a bit on piano, violin, and accordion. I am full of gratitude for the many blessings in my life, but I have also experienced many challenges. Through the experiences I have had, and through my work as a therapist, I have a deeper understanding for the heartache of addiction, moral failures, loss/grief, despair, loneliness, abuse/trauma, personality disorders, anger/rage, and family conflict.
I believe your life is meant to be lived abundantly! Yet, through no fault of your own, or perhaps after a series of poor choices, you may be experiencing heartache that leaves you feeling hopeless. Your journey toward healing and wholeness is an important one, and I would be honored to help you find solutions that satisfy your thirst for the abundant life you long to experience. I look forward to helping you find release from your suffering and refreshment for your soul.
