Hello! I am Katherine (Kat), a licensed social worker. I graduated from Millersville University with both bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. I have worked with a variety of populations which includes children, adolescents, teens, individuals suffering from trauma, as well as individuals managing anger issues. I am most passionate about the work I do with children of all ages. I started my journey in being an advocate with my work in early intervention services as an advocate for children in need of support. I then changed the way I advocated through being a clinician at a private practice. Being more hands on allowed me to not only have a better understanding of child development but continue to learn more about how crucial family systems are.
Within sessions I employ a variety of strategies that best fit the client, including play therapy, art therapy, strengths-based therapy, talk therapy, and much more. I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment where the client feels not only comfortable but safe to speak their truth, feelings, and more.
In my free time, I am in my craft studio creating colorful art pieces. I am always trying to make new things whether that be with paint, clay, wood, and anything else I can get my hands on! I also spend time with friends, family, and my husband. I am excited to meet and join you on your therapeutic journey.
